First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you--Romans 1:8-9

The apostle Paul wrote this letter to Romans before he had even had the chance to visit there; before he had ever seen the many faces that would be affected with by his words. And although I know that throughout the many chapters of Romans, Paul has more influential and thought-provoking statements than the ones that are quoted above, there is something about verse 9. He states that he is serving God with his WHOLE HEART; everything that he is and everything that is keeping him going. That is how he serves God. He holds nothing back and gives everything he has to insure that the gospel is preached and heard. How many of us can say that? That every second and every breath is completely dedicated to serving our Creator. How amazing is it that it IS possible to live a life purely relying and trusting in God. Knowing that hardships (and in Paul's case, prison) may come your way, but none of it matters. Serving God, proclaiming the gospel and living a life that is worthy in God's sight. Pastor Hunt used to talk about being luke warm; why live life that way in any scenario? If you're going to live, then truly live. If you are going to praise God, then praise Him with all you have. Is there any other way?
