The Bigger Picture

'"How many loaves do you have?' he asked. 'Go and see.' When they found out, they said, 'Five—and two fish.'" Mark 6:38

Now most of us know the end to this; with those five loaves of bread and two fish, Jesus and His disciples were able to feed a crowd of 5,000. So many times in my life and my walk with the Lord, I use the excuse "I don't have enough of this or that". But God wants me to bring to Him what I do have. Maybe I can't give $100, but I can give what I can. God uses us in small ways that have a large impact. For some, He does use them in large things, but that's not everyone and that's not all the time. I'm slowly realizing that there is a bigger picture then what is in front of me. I hate that it's taken this much time, but hey, better late than never. God's plan is different for each of us and praise Him for that. A good friend of mine will be traveling to Ghana later this summer and when I hear that, I can't help but think that I can't do that. However, there are places just 10 miles down the road that God may use me. Distance is never a factor in God's blueprint for our lives...He may call you to go 3,000 miles or He may call you 3 streets over from your own. Never let yourself get in the way of God's love.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have placed myself in a bubble and haven't been trying to reach out to the people that need to know about God's love more than anything. The people that feel unworthy and undeserving. They need to know that they are worthy. And God has called me to something that is bigger than myself. Now it's up to me to answer that call...because God so loved the world...
