First Full Post of 2011

2011 has started out wonderfully! We had a very low key New Years eve because of the awesome cold that we both had. But it was nice to just relax and of course partake in the Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block performance.

Okay. I mean no offense for this, but really? At some point those guys need to just let it go.

On January 2nd, we headed up to Chapel Hill to enjoy the first game of 2011. We had lunch with the Briley's in Durham and that was an ideal start to what would be a great day.

After lunch, we headed to Franklin Street for a little shopping with the newly engaged couple that is Chris and Kristen.

It was great to see them and talk about they're forthcoming nuptials. I also finally got a new hoodie and few other things that I may or may not have needed. About a hour before tip off we made our way out of the rain and into the Dean E. Smith center. There is just something that happens to my heart when I walk into that building. I'm not going to even attempt to explain it because I will sound more than slightly insane. We got there with plenty of time to see warm ups and shoot around.

Once the game started, it was pretty obvious that the Tar Heels were going to win easily, so we could just sit back and enjoy.

That right there is a beautiful sight.  Once the game was over and pretty much everyone had cleared out, I insisted on getting a couple of pictures!

It was a great game and an even better way to kick off 2011!

And I know I've been super slack with my posts {and I guess this is a good time NOT to have a lot of readers and followers}, but I'm certainly going to try to get back into the habit!

Until next time, enjoy!
