A Change

Though there are many significant and non superficial things I need to change, the change that I'm referring to is my workout regime.

Or in my case, a lack there of.

I was doing great for a while. And then the month of December happened and everything got out of whack. And since then I've been lucky if I've gone once or twice a week. And that is just unacceptable. So after finding Katie's blog, I realized part of my problem is not sitting down and recognizing goals that I can give myself each week.

I'm not talking about weight goals. And really the only numbers that are in my goals are the amount of miles I hope to run each week and the amount of days I want to get to the gym.

Another part of the problem is the mental obstacle I've set with the words "have/need" to go workout as opposed to wanting to go to the gym. I always enjoy my workouts once I get up and go, it's just the getting up part that is the hardest.  I've also decided to give myself set days during the week for my early morning workouts {3} and the other 2 days, I'm going to be doing Jillian Michaels dvd. "30 Day Shred".



So, with that said, here are my week 1 goals:

Week 1 Goals (Monday January 24th – Sunday January 30th)
  • Get to the gym Tuesday-Thursday mornings this week.  Not only do I want to get back into a workout routine, I need to workout in the morning or it will not happen at all.
  • Limit sweets to one per day (only after dinner?)
  • Do “Shred It” Monday & Friday
  • Only 2 sodas for the week
And with that out there, I ask my readers {all 2 of you} to hold me accountable. I'll definitely need some words of encouragement and inquiries that will result in me assuring you that I've followed this weeks goals. I'm feeling confident, but also a little worried that this dvd could kick my butt.
