That Toddlin' Town

10.23.2011

I miss Chicago.  No exaggeration. There is not a day that goes by where I don't think about it and how I wish we were there again or going back soon.

I dream about the pizza. Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but it was good enough that it's only a slight one. There was something about that city that neither of us can seem to shake. I figured by this point I'd have gotten over it, but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon....

I never thought that I would love Chicago as much as I did. I am anxiously awaiting the next time we can go again and I must say, I'm not being too patient about it. If you haven't gone, you should. The pizza will make it worth it. I promise you that. It's an awesome city and we only got to see a fraction of it's splendor. There is so much to do and see and the 5 days we were there were not nearly enough. There are talks about heading back there next summer.

One can only hope.

oh, i so share your love for chicago. i have family in the suburbs of the city, so i LOVE getting the excuse to visit. i just love that feeling when your pulling into the city, and you the see the skyline...or when you're driving down state street about to hit the magnificent mile...it's all so wonderful, and i totally understand why you want to go back :)

I've never been to Chicago but it's on my list of must-dos, for sure. DW got a job offer there a couple years back and we chose Atlanta...the idea of the winters there terrified us! ha!

I did a day trip to Chicago for work a few months back. I fell in love right away and I'm DYING to go back and spend some real time there!

Having grown up 40 miles outside of the city... I concur. I miss Chicago more than I can stand. I get to go back for visits, of course, but that's never the same! Glad you love it too. :)
