Christmas in July

7.23.2012

Lately, I've been struggling to think of posts to write that y'all would actually want to read.  I don't want to write posts just for the sake of writing; I want to write things that are actually worth reading!

With that said, I'm sorry for the lack of posting, but I'm hoping to get out of my slump sooooon!

And because I am the queen of the non-sequiturs,  I'm going to ask y'all for some help.  Sweet husband and I are considering going on a trip this December in lieu of actual presents and we have two possible destination spots in mind;

Denver, Colorado...

or New York City...

I know many of you are thinking to yourselves, "doesn't she know it's July?  Why is she making plans for Christmas?"  As I mentioned in this post, my love for Christmas is not normal AND if we do decide to go somewhere, I'd like to get a ball on the planning process.

I've never been to Colorado, and though I should probably be a little embarrassed to tell you guys where the inspiration came from to go there, I'm not and it's the "The Hills."  Since MTV has been airing episodes for several weeks now, I couldn't help but to DVR more than a few.  And whenever crazy Heidi goes back home to the tiny mountain Colorado town of Crested Butte, it's covered in snow and I just long to be there (sans Heidi and Spencer).

But after seeing where Crested Butte was, Denver was a more realistic option.  With that said, as beautiful, and possibly snowy, as Colorado would be, to visit New York at Christmastime has always been on my bucket list.

So, I'm looking for opinions, suggestions or other ideas!  Yes, it's July 23rd, and yes, December is still months away, but if this year has taught me anything, it's that it'll be here before we know it!

Ohhh the blogging slump. I was having the same problem until baby blob came along. But after emailing with other bloggers, know you are not alone, and it actually has a lot to do with the season. Summer time = outside more and not at the computer.

My vote would be Denver. Seems like a cozy place and you could actually relax while you are there. But, you can't ignore that bucket list!! :)

I would LOVE to go to Denver. It looks gorgeous, and I bet it's beautiful in December. However, I don't think anything can beat Christmastime in New York City!
