Updates and Whatnot

It used to be that I willingly and easily could call myself a "blogger."  Clearly, this is no longer the case.  I want to keep blogging, but for some reason, it's not as easy as it once was.  At the same time, it's not easy for me to give it up.  I've clearly had no problem just not writing, but I don't like doing anything half way, nor do I want to stop attempting to blog.

Please say hello to my rock and hard place.

I totally plan on keeping the blame on 2012 for the time being, or at least until I decide I'm worthy of being a blogger again or if I'm going to just give up the title to someone else.

In the meantime, however, I will give an update on our house and my hair :)  I mentioned here that two of my goals for February was to redo our kitchen cabinets and to figure out what to do with the big scary wall in our living room.  Well I am happy to say that half that is done and the other half is well on it's way!

Apologies for the phone pictures, but it's just easier for right now.  The big scary wall problem turned out to have a fairly simple solution; a pair of narrow bookshelves. It's amazing to me how much of a difference it made and I could not love it more.

That was the easy fix.

Has anyone stained kitchen cabinets? It's not easy and it's extremely time-consuming! I know that it will be worth it in the end, but at the moment, all I see is darkness in the tunnel.  The good thing is, I had not a clue how difficult it was until we started and it's too late to stop now.  It is exciting, though, to see how much of a difference little things can make in a home.

And finally, the hair update!

Bangs!  My mom gave me a complex when I was little about bangs, so I was hesitant to get them when my hair lady suggested them, but I think I like them.  It's definitely taking some getting used to!

Those are all of the updates for now, and hopefully the next time around I'll have a definitive answer on whether or not I can rightfully call myself a blogger.

Wish me luck.
